We regard the imparting of soundly based technical and specialist knowledge as an indispensable element of the training we give, and that applies to process mechanics and energy electronics engineers, mechanical engineers and mould engineers alike. At Gerresheimer Wilden we attach particular importance to cultivating key qualifications, namely the ability to communicate, cooperate and learn, readiness to assume responsibility, commitment to successfully completing assigned tasks and the capability to work on a team basis. Add to these the characteristics of flexibility, creativity and quality awareness; after all, the rapid transformation of ideas into innovative and intelligently founded products is an absolutely essential factor behind entrepreneurial survival in the face of international competition.
Apprentices at Gerresheimer Wilden pass through all areas of the production process that are important for their particular vocational sectors and, according to requirement, are given supplementary manual training to complement academic topics. Their instructors in this respect are students from Weiden Polytechnic College. If they wish, apprentices can also take part in English and EDP workshops.
Partnership-based thinking is a priority at Gerresheimer Wilden, and workshops held during the apprenticeship ensure the social competence that is indispensable where teamwork and dialogue with customers are concerned.
1st year of training: Apprentices are involved in the structuring of their training,
with active project management integration of their ideas.
2nd year of training: Development of awareness of how important teamwork is.
Topics are worked out and put into practice in project groups supervised by
a coach.
3rd year of training: Commentary and presentation of the project work, followed by
a feedback round.
Pupil applications
Success never comes easily, as the saying goes. The whole process starts with your application. But don't worry. A carefully compiled CV means you've already cleared the first hurdle. However, time is of the essence: anyone wishing to start an apprenticeship at Gerresheimer Wilden in September of the coming year should ensure that his/her CV arrives at our offices by mid-November. The selection process will be completed by late January.
